Key Bridge research and development creatively solves complex or seemingly intractable problems for our customers. We bring an extensive body of industry experience backed by academic theory and a focus on advanced systems and information technologies.
One interesting example includes a Key Bridge study and system prototype for a Military customer for the autonomous detection, identification and tracking of unknown and potentially hostile radio emitters, using a passive sensing technique.
Another example of Key Bridge research is our innovative work on geographic spectrum sharing methods and techniques, which provide specific and unique capabilities and features for white space transmitters. Consumer white space devices are currently under development to take advantage of unused TV broadcast channels, commonly referred to as “TV white space”, and several Military applications are also under study.
Consistent with this approach and our belief that a neutral and robust spectrum administrator is required for successful spectrum administration and sharing, Key Bridge is a candidate before the FCC to administer the TV white space.
